Supplier Mapping Project

In 2025 we provided a comprehensive assessment of environmental risks across our global supply chain.
This analysis strengthens our ability to screen, prioritize, and engage suppliers based on environmental impact, operational criticality, and strategic relevance, while supporting compliance with emerging regulations.

Our objective was to identify where the most significant environmental risks occur across our value chain, ensuring that future supplier engagement is targeted, meaningful, and aligned with our sustainability priorities. Through this mapping exercise, we analyzed supplier categories in depth and identified areas where collaboration can deliver the greatest positive impact.

To conduct the analysis, we followed a structured methodology. We first applied a financial threshold to ensure the assessment focused on a representative sample of suppliers, covering approximately 50% of total expenditure. After filtering the supplier dataset, we grouped suppliers into their respective sector categories. We then examined spending patterns and expenditure concentration to identify the key sourcing geographies for each category.

Each supplier was assigned to a defined category, such as parts and equipment, chemicals, operations and yards, or indirect services, allowing us to better understand the environmental characteristics of each group. We also analyzed regional sourcing dynamics, recognizing that environmental exposure varies significantly by geography.

Using Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) criteria, we evaluated greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, and water impacts at both the category/sector and geographic levels. This enabled us to generate a weighted environmental risk score for each supplier category.

Among the 73 Tier-1 suppliers assessed, 17 were identified as significant, along with 16 additional significant indirect suppliers. With the mapping stage complete, we are now advancing to structured assessments and engagement plans aimed at enhancing environmental performance across our supply chain.
