Our commitment to youth
Every professional journey starts with an opportunity and as such, we are proud to have welcomed a new group of young professionals for this year’s Summer Internship Program.
At Diana Shipping Services, we believe that the future of our industry is shaped by the opportunities we create today. By opening our doors to youth, we offered them the opportunity to gain direct insight into the world of shipping, work alongside our teams, develop practical skills and explore the realities of a constantly evolving sector.
More than a learning experience, this program was a journey of discovery. A journey where curiosity was encouraged, confidence was built, and new perspectives took shape. We are excited to have supported our interns as they took their first steps, and equally proud to have been part of shaping the next generation of professionals in our industry.
Induction Program
As part of their onboarding, interns followed a structured induction program designed to give them a broad understanding of our company and the industry, including:
- Introduction to the company’s operations, activities and organization
- Sustainability workshop and a bridge simulator session, delivered by HELMEPA
- A training session on Recycling, by Polygreen
- A customized series of workshops on the function of our Chartering Department
- A training session on understanding AI and its effective and safe use
