Together for Good, Together we go Pink: Raising Awareness for Breast Cancer Prevention

On October 24, we joined millions of people around the world in marking World Breast Cancer Awareness Day, a day dedicated to prevention, early detection, and support for all those affected by breast cancer.

At Diana Shipping Services S.A., we believe that awareness and knowledge can truly save lives. To mark the day, we welcomed Dr. Vania Stafyla, who shared valuable insights on breast cancer prevention, self-examination, and the importance of regular screening. Her talk served as an empowering reminder that early detection remains the most effective way to fight breast cancer.

In collaboration with Alma Zois, we distributed pink ribbons, the symbols of solidarity, hope and recognition, to all the employees, members, while everyone enjoyed pink macarons specially prepared for the occasion. Small gestures, but meaningful, reflect our shared commitment to wellbeing and care.

The event was more than an informative session, but rather a moment of connection and collective awareness. By talking openly about women’s health, we help create a culture that encourages prevention and supports one another.
