We are seeking a motivated Crew Operator to ensure our vessels are manned with qualified and skilled seafarers, playing a vital role in forming and supporting high-performing teams onboard. 

You will work as part of a Fleet Team, with responsibility for assigned vessels. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute crew plans in line with operational needs and agreed budgets, monitoring crewing costs
  • Monitor crew schedules and availability, ensuring optimal manning levels and compliance with safe manning requirements across assigned vessels
  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection of ratings
  • Review and validate crew proposals from the manning office, ensuring quality and suitability
  • Arrange travel for the timely and safe embarkation and disembarkation of seafarers
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all pre-embarkation and disembarkation activities (certifications, travel documents, contracts, training)
  • Participate in crew briefings and debriefings, as appropriate, focusing on operational matters and continuous improvement
  • Monitor seafarers’ performance and support follow-up actions as needed
  • Maintain and update seafarers’ employment contracts in line with applicable agreements and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and updated crew records and prepare reports to support planning and decision-making
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of seafarers’ remuneration (wages, bonuses)
  • Ensure compliance with STCW, MLC, Flag State requirements, company policies, and crewing procedures

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Maritime, Business Administration Studies or other relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Crew Operator
  • Working knowledge of STCW, MLC, Flags, National and International (ILO) regulations
  • Proficient in English language
  • Strong digital skills, including proficiency in MS Office, with the ability to adapt to new systems and use digital tools to improve efficiency
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively 
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset
